There are not many places...

There are not many places...
...where you can bask in 70+ degree temps, swim in a lake, have a snowball fight, and go sledding! Well, we found such a spot at the upper Crater Lakes. The snowfield above provided over an hours worth of entertainment for all. It began with running down and sliding on our feet, and quickly led to much more.

Scott took a piece of his backpack off and sat on it to create the initial sledding run. After that, each girl took a turn sitting on the "sled" and zipping down our hill. Unfortunately, Zoe's first (and last) attempt started with her going down backwards and ended with some crazy, cold and wet rolling crash (bottom left pic).

  1. While our NH temps are delightful, snow in August is someting we'd love to experience.

  2. Yes, this is by far the best way to experience snow.
