We did a lot of fun things while camping last weekend, but my favorite memory came from a spontaneous purchase at a toy store on Manitou Ave. I bought a $6 wiffle ball & bat in hopes the girls might want to play and get a small taste of the fun to be had playing baseball/softball.
It was a huge "hit". Both girls got the hang of swinging, and were whacking that white ball all over the field. By the end of the weekend, we had bases, invisible runners, and several of the basic baseball rules in play. It was awesome! Yes, I was re-living my childhood glory days playing wiffle ball with my neighborhood buddies.
