CO Half Marathon weekend

CO Half Marathon weekend
A few weeks ago, I had the privilege of running with these ladies in the Colorado Half Marathon in Fort Collins. We headed up on Friday to get the most out of our girls weekend. The weather ended up being much cooler than we had hoped for in May, so we did as any wise woman would do the day before the race, we shopped for cute warm running apparel. Our friend Tirzah joined us for lunch at Snooze, and treated us to an amazing home cooked carb-loaded meal that night.

Sunday morning, after a horrible night of sleep, we boarded the bus at 5:15 and headed up the Pudre Canyon to be dropped off at the start. After choking down a banana and pb bagel, I was ready to go. Kacey and I ran the race together and it was so fun to have a running buddy through the mental and physical ups and downs.

We decided that next years race will have to take place in a warmer climate. These 30 degree races are for those crazy ultra-runners!

Congratulations girls, you rock!

  1. brrr! It has to be about 55 and no wind for me to be comfortable running! I'm glad you were able to get some new clothes out of it though!
