Whitestar

We camped at the Whitestar Campground at Twin Lakes. Probably one of our most scenic camping experiences. The lake was a short walk from our campsite and offered sweet views of two 14ers, La Plata Peak (mtn on the left) & Mt. Elbert (not shown).


As with most lakes in the mountains, the water was too cold to do anything but wade up to your knees. We continued to fish with our Spiderman pole & attached red fish. I'm thinking that I'm going to make the switch to the real thing in the near future. Stayed tuned for future camping posts that just might show a real fish on the end of that line!
