Oh yes....the 14er tradition of flying jumps on a hike was carried 4000 miles to the West. I wasn't going to attempt one, but then Tanya wanted in on the action and the jumps were on.
On Wednesday, we hiked the Kuilau Trail. It was a shorter hike very close to Mt. Waialeale (the wettest spot on earth). Needless to say, it was humid & very rain forest like. A highlight was actually getting a very brief glimpse at the summit of Mt. Waialeale. This is rare since it almost always has a cloud sitting on top of it.
