Our home group had a Christmas party last week. After a delicious dinner, we moved on to the gift exchange. This year we threw a little twist into our gift exchange. It's called Precious/Vicious. A couple weeks prior to the exchange, everyone is randomly assigned one or the other description and then they go shopping.
It works just like most gift exchanges except you've got a 50/50 chance of getting a nice or horrendous gift. The element of chance & surprise was just wonderful.
Curious what some of the vicious gifts were?? A "Shocking" Digital Camera...literally. A bucket of Lard. A pair of satin & fur "Santa" boxers w/ matching hat. A portable urinal. A large container of about fifty live worms. And more!
I stole for the shccking camera that then got stolen from me. I then chose a "precious" gift. A pretzel bowl. Yes, it is very cool and perfect since I love pretzels!
Now that is fun, you know what to expect. But when you go to a normal gift exchange and end up with a figuritive bucket of lard every year it gets a little old.
