Fun with Dad

Fun with Dad
On Sunday morning we found ourselves hanging out in downtown Aspen. We tossed the idea around of taking a gondola ride to the top of Aspen mountain. Thinking there would be nothing to do but hike around a bit, Tanya opted to go shopping while I took the girls for a little dad/daughter bonding time.

The gondola ride was really fun for them & me. It's also nice to not have to worry about them falling as we were riding up the mtn.

At the top we found all kinds of things to do! The biggest hit was the free mini ropes course for kids. They had about 10 different challenges for the girls to try.

Needless to say, we missed our "meeting time" with Tanya back at the bottom by a good 30 minutes.

  1. Spending time with Dad is always a good thing - shopping without the girls is also a good thing.

  2. Having your wallet, while you are shopping without the girls, would also have been a good thing...too bad I didn't!

  3. Oh...I'm pretty sure it was just fine that you didn't have your wallet with you.

  4. Woody, shopping without your wallet is like running with your feet tied together - its no fun and it just doesn't work! At least not well.

  5. Nana, I think shopping without your wallet is like going on the most beautiful hike in the mountains without having to haul a 60 lb. backpack. It frees you up to enjoy everything around you without having to worry about carrying a thing!

  7. Sorry Woody - I have one more comment - shopping without your wallett is like hiking without water - its possible but that little extra weight is well worth it :-)

  8. That's a good one Nana. Although, another way to look at it would be to say...shopping w/o your wallet frees you up to ponder thoughts like..."The best things in life...aren't things."
