We don't forget about Lucy!

Lucy has joined us on all our camping trips and she is awesome. She either hangs out in the back of the truck or tied to a tree in the shade. By the end of the weekend, she is filthy. Her brown coat hides it well, but one pat on the rump usually creates a minor dust storm.

For the second straight camping trip, we have ended our trip with Lucy taking a swim. Talk about a win-win! It doesn't matter to her that the water is frigid...and after a few runs like above, she is cleaner than when we began. Her seat of honor in the truck is back in the bed, so our drive home allows for a natural blow dry.

This is Lilly Lake. It is on the eastern edge of the RMNP and close to the base of Long's Peak. We all enjoyed a nice walk around the lake before hopping in the car for the ride home.
