I think every parent can attest that your kids don't always say words correctly. Many times you correct them...many times you let it slide because it's close enough.
One thing that Megan has always said a little funny is "Grilled Cheese". Her pronunciation is more like "Gurled Cheese".
The other night at dinner, the above mentioned was served. As Megan was chomping away, she opened up a window into her brain for us.
Megan: -with confidence- Boys can't eat gurled cheese!
Tanya: Boys CAN eat grilled cheese! Why do you say that?
Megan: Well, isn't gurled cheese only for girls?
Yes, the light bulb finally went off and we understood that in Megan's mind, she was saying "girl'd cheese". After a quick lesson on what the "grilled" part meant, dinner carried on...
Have you asked her how she feels about "boys"enberries?
