Our fantasy football league finished in December, but the coveted trophy finally made its way from the tight grip held on it in Santa Barbara, to its new home in Colorado. Unfortunately it's not our home in which it will spend the next year...no, my cousin Scott (aka The Rocky Mountain Aggie...or "the Cuz" as the Santa Barbarans call him) is the 2006 champion.
Another "unfortunately" is that our fearless quarterback that sits on top of the trophy was slightly injured in the trip from CA to CO. He's got a couple cracked knees and ankles. I guess it adds character to this prestigious award...nothing a little athletic tape won't fix. Can't you see the snarl on his face! No pain, no gain.

Fantasy sports... clearly invented by a man to make wives lives more miserable during the season. Unless of course you're winning like my hubby did in his league. It even makes it into church sermons now too. So sad.
ReplyDeleteI must say that fantasy football is actually a unifying thing for our marriage. I know we're probably in the minority but Paul and I love it when football season rolls around and we're a little bit sad on Sundays after the superbowl!!
