Last night, Tanya had to make a run to the grocery store. After putting sleepy Zoe down for the night, Megan and I had about 20 minutes to kill before she had to head to bed for some Zzzzzzz's.
What did we do?? We made our way to the playroom and played "Christmas Morning". First, we each found three toys. Then we substituted wrapping paper with aprons & princess dresses and wrapped the toys while the other was not watching. Lastly, we put them under the tree and pretended we just came downstairs on Christmas morning to see what Santa brought us.
We took turns opening our gifts. When Megan would open each of her gifts, her face would light up and she would say things like, "Ohhhh Daddy...it's a Mermaidia and it's just what I always wanted!"
We went through two rounds of "Christmas Morning" and then it was off to bed. After seeing Megan's patient enthusiasm, I got very excited for the real thing in just a few weeks.
Tanya, did you re-do your blue tree and make it a red tree? :)
