We are rapidly approaching the month of December and that means two events will happen in our house quite close together. Christmas & Megan's Birthday. Megan is quite aware of these events and daily shows us items in several toy catalogs that she would like "Mommy to ask Santa to bring her." If it's not a toy for Christmas, then it is showing us something she "needs" for her birthday.
When I came home from work one day last week, she brought me the 50-page Target toy catalog.
Megan: "Daddy, I have a toy I need to show you that I want for Christmas."
Dad: "Really?" -acting like we hadn't done this routine the day before- "What is it?"
Megan: -pointing to a large wooden doll house- "Daddy, I want this doll house because one doll house is not enough for a little girl!"
I looked up at Tanya who informed me that Megan showed her the doll house that afternoon. Since Megan already has a doll house, her response to Megan was, "Isn't one doll house enough for a little girl?"
When I came home the next night, she brought me the same toy catalog that had many items circled in red crayon. That afternoon, Tanya had instructed her to circle everything she wants Santa to bring her. Let me just say there are about 75 circles totaling thousands of dollars worth of toys.
Hmmmm, remind me not to bring any catalogs here! Classic, you guys have your hands full!

Don't forget yet another important December event. Tanya's BDAY TOO! Moms always get left out. TL, you can circle your toys in green, oh and circle them in the Pottery Barn catalog for Woody.
ReplyDeletetoo funny, Mike actually had to read this to me because it was so funny! This is probably our last year of getting Aubrey what we want her to have. I guess I better choose wisely.
