What's going on here?

Time for one last picture challenge of 2007. Any guesses? I'll post the answer tomorrow as a comment...

It's been fun to have my mom visiting this week. The girls love her company and we've been making the most of our time, visiting places like the Zoo and playing around town. Last night at the dinner table, Megan turned to Woody and asked..."do you want to go to the toy store and pick out whatever you want for your birthday tomorrow?" It was so cute and reminded me of the wonder kids are filled with as they enter a toy store, given the opportunity to pick something out. Funny too that she would think Woody would want something from there. I'm quite sure, given the opportunity, he would rather go across the street to the electronics store to pick something out. Today is Woody's birthday...hooray! I love celebrating his life because he is just so wonderful. So today, I lift up my glass of water and toast to most amazing person in my life. May his commute be smooth, may he not get any angry calls from unhappy Treo users at work, and lastly, may his afternoo

What I like about camping...

On Saturday morning, we sat by the shore of Steamboat Lake and watched the kids play in the water. Kacey, Tanya & I launched into a conversation answering the question, 'What level of cleanliness do you need when you camp?' It got me thinking about why I like to camp so much. Here is my answer to that question and some of the things I came up with... - I like to get dirty. Not filthy, but getting a little dirt under my finger nails, having my hair get a tad oily...it's all good. Almost every day, I get up, shower and shave. For work, I have to wear a tie...boo! Getting a little dirty around the campsite feels really good breaking away from the norm of everyday cleanliness. - Along the same lines, I love waking up in the morning to find the smell of campfire smoke still firmly embedded in my nose hairs. It's a great reminder of the relaxation I had the night before sitting around the fire, being mesmerized by the flames, and occasionally gazing at the stars.
