The girls had an absolute blast at SKSK, the week long sports camp our church puts on every summer as a fund raiser for the youth group. Megan chose to brush up on her soccer skills, while Zoe chose all-rec, which is an assortment of field games. They worked in groups on their chosen sport in the morning, then played a variety of really fun games in the afternoon. Most included water, since the temps hovered around 100 degrees that week! A highlight was having a fire truck spray water into the air while the kids played under it.
I watched the closing ceremony on Friday and caught a glimpse of the high energy environment they had been in all week...no wonder why they were so tired at the end of the day! They were shouting cheers led by their high school counselors every few minutes. I felt like I was back in YoungLife. Loved it.
