Highest Show On Earth

On July 4th, we made our way over to the Dillon waterfront to witness the Highest Show on Earth.  Hard to believe that an airshow has never been done up in the mountains, but they claimed this one qualified for a world record.

The event was pretty cool.  I haven't seen an airshow in quite some time, but I would imagine this would fit in the "small" category.  There were a few planes flying in formation, and another old war plane that was fast and performed a couple fly bys.  Lastly, there was a biplane that did some cool tricks.  While the "highest show on earth" label was cheesy, the backdrop of the lake and mountains might be one of the best on earth.

Following the airshow, we listened to an outdoor patriotic concert from the National Repertory Orchestra.

Thanks to Anne for taking some of the pictures below.  Enjoy.
