Megan had the opportunity to be a Junior Jag and learn a hip hop routine with the Rock Canyon High School Poms squad last week. Then on Friday night, she performed at halftime of the boys varsity basketball game. As you can see below, she did great and had a lot of fun.
I had a great time at the game too! It's been many years since I've been to a high school basketball game. The Jaguars were a bit sluggish at first, but held off Littleton High for the win. It was fun to think about going to Rock Canyon events when the girls get to high school. On a side note, I think "Rock Canyon Jaguars" is about the coolest name for a high school & mascot. Upon entering the gym, you're met with a huge painting on the wall of a jaguar clawing itself into the room and a large "Welcome to the Jungle" sign. How sweet is that?

ReplyDeleteA school up here wanted to be named Harmony High but no one in the PTA wanted that. It is now called Fossle Ridge : ) It's fun that your girls get to experience where they will go to high school well before they go.
ReplyDeleteWow, I'm not sure I could send our girls to "Harmony High"! :-) Fossil Ridge is better. Although my all-time favorite name for a high school is "ThunderRidge" here in HR. They're called the Grizzlies which is right up there with the Jags.
