The leaves are turning in the Rockies. This shot was from last Fall, but we hope to have many more from 2010 to share next week. We're heading to Steamboat today for a long weekend of enjoying the foliage. I have a little 50 mile race on Saturday and I've been told the trails should look like the shot above. How cool is it to run a race through that?? The Run Rabbit Run is going to feature who I think is the best ultrarunner in the world right now. Geoff Roes is on a tear winning everything he enters while setting course records along the way.
This is my last major race for the season and my second stab at an ultra. I don't expect much change from the last one. I know the day is going to be long, the climbing will be tough, and I will no doubt have many of mental & physical challenges. In the end, I'm sure it will be fantastic day of running in the mountains.
