My Dad & I got to take in a Rockies afternoon game during their visit. Great seats, great company, great weather...the only problem was the Rockies forgot to show up to play? The Mets scorched them 5-0.
The funniest part of the day came when we were sizing up all the players during warm-ups. Our conversation went something like this...
"That #42 doing the sprints looks pretty fast."
"What's that pitcher #42 doing warming up in the outfield."
"I wonder who that Rockies player #42 is that's signing autographs."
Yes, it took us way too long to realize that EVERY player for BOTH teams was wearing #42. Apparently, every 4/15, Major League Baseball celebrates Jackie Robinson Day, and all players wear his #42! Let me tell you it makes for a very confusing game when everyone is wearing the same number!
Thats funny! Its wondeful you got to spend a day with your dad. You have sweet parents. Zoe told me all about Grammies things, like knitting a sweater for rocky, brownies, flowers for growing and ones already blooming in the flower pot and Megans special bible. Lucky girls.
