It's been a good first week with Rocky. Twice he's gone the whole night without needing to go outside. We are extremely appreciative of this since we're having a cold snap and it was 6 degrees last night.
We've had many struggles with the housebreaking thing. We're picking up on his clues that a potty episode is coming, but he loves to launch a surprise attack once and awhile just to keep us on our toes.
In general he is a very happy dog. We're convinced that his tail wags faster than a hummingbird flaps it's wings. It's a rare moment when it's not wagging.
Another funny quirk is that he will not lie down on the ground or a blanket to sleep. He has a strong need to sleep on you. As displayed above, he'll crawl into the most awkward spots to take a snooze. He's fine when he's in his crate, but if outside it, he'll be on the hunt for someone to sleep on.
I can see why he chose your feet - your socks and slippers are the color of his mommy.
ReplyDeleteHow cute! As I read this I was thinking, "hmm...not too different than having a newborn." Though a puppy is probably much easier! So glad everything is working out so well!
