Camping in Telluride

We just returned from a long weekend camping in Telluride. It was about a 7 hour drive to get there, but it was worth every bit of effort. We were not ready to come home. We could have easily stayed a week or more.


The southwest corner of Colorado is awe-inspiring. Our neighbor at the campground said, "I always tells my friends that if they don't have enough money to travel to Switzerland, they should visit southwestern CO instead." Natural beauty is everywhere you look. Our only regret is that we missed the fall leaves by about two weeks. I have never seen so many huge aspens. Some were starting to turn yellow, but I can only imagine how incredible it will look very soon.
