Camping with the Roberts
Last weekend we camped with the Roberts family up at Twin Lakes near Leadville. We had a great time soaking in the warm weather up there. We had prepared for cool temps since we were camping at about 9,200 feet, but were surprised to experience toasty days and not so frigid nights. The last time we camped in Leadville, Lucy's water bowl froze solid from being left outside overnight. That was in the middle of June.


On Saturday, we ate a picnic lunch at the Leadville National Fish Hatchery and then took a nature hike. Later that afternoon, we hung out at the campsite and played Yahtzee and had some serious games of horseshoes.
