The night before the 4th, my dad surprised all the kids with a large stockpile of sparklers.
Our girls had never held a sparkler before, but it didn't take long to figure out that when it lights....you run, jump, swing your arms wildly, and do everything you can with it during the fleeting moments of the sparklers existence.
Fortunately, with so many sparklers, each girls had many opportunities for fun!
Good for you Grandpa Anderson - thats the only kind of fireworks I ever saw till I was about 20 or so. They still bring on good memories.
