Growing up in New Hampshire, I was quite familiar with the most famous "natural" face in rock. The Old Man of the Mountain...may he rest in peace!
A couple years ago, I watched a news story on a Colorado couple that went around the state for years taking pictures of faces they found in various rocks. It was amazing to me how they could find so many realistic faces. Here's a link to some of their pictures: Faces in the Rocks
Once we arrived at the Elevenmile Canyon, we thought we'd take a crack at finding as many "faces in the rocks" that we could. We were quite pleased with what we found. Each day this week, we'll showcase a face. We recognize that they may not be easily "seen", so you can click on "previous" to see an outline of the face as we see it.
Feel free to let us know if you see something else or have a good caption for the face.

ReplyDeleteI see the face you outlined, but I saw it in another way. I saw your nose as a protruding cheek and and your cheek as a nose so he is looking up to the left. His mouth would be straight to the left of your mouth. lol Fun game you guys made!
ReplyDeleteThat's good Krystal. I hadn't seen that one. Kevin (your bro) found about 5 other faces in the picture. The other ones this week probably won't be so "two-faced"!! Ha!
