Whale Watching

Whale Watching
The girls and I spent last week in Santa Barbara, so brace yourself for a week of recaps. Upon our arrival, we headed straight to my mom's retirement party at Tucker's Grove. We had a great time celebrating the achievements she made in starting and sustaining her own design business for 34 years. Way to go Mom!

The next day we headed downtown to see a humpback whale that has stopped over in the harbor for a bit during it's migration south. It was truly a treat to see. The kids were captivated by it...at least for about 10 minutes or so. The only downside about seeing the whale was that Zoe was scared to put her feet in the ocean for the rest of the week! Thankfully she overcame the fear and now is a beach lover like her mommy. (Posted by Tanya)

  2. I miss all of you - way to quiet here - first morning afer you left Baby Cakes (the cat) walked around meowing and looking for her girlfriends. She must of enjoyed hat one arm strangle hold Zoe had on her! Later while vaccuming we found many pieces of cat candy around the house - I'm thinking that might have been a big allure for her - we ususally give her one or two a day.
