Monkeying Around

Monkeying Around
Last week I went to a conference in Orlando for 5 days. While there I came across some monkeys that were on clearance at the Rainforest Cafe. I returned home with two of them stuffed in my suitcase.

This is Antuco. He's Megan's mischievous little monkey. Every night Megan falls asleep with him in her arms only to wake up the next day and find that he's been playing during the night. Zoe's monkey "Zi Zi" does the same thing! They come down every morning and report the new place they find their monkey "hanging out".

What makes this even more enjoyable for me is that they both decided to "cage" their monkeys last night. They wanted to put a stop to this midnight monkey business. Can you see Megan's bedside table drawer slightly open? It looks like Antuco escaped from his cage!

Last week it was a sneaky leprechaun turning our milk green. Now it's monkeys that come to life at night. In the words of our girls, "Our house is magic!"

  1. Get some bananna peels and put them in the kitchen!. Or maybe Antuco wants to try on some American Girl clothes...

  2. Excellent ideas Steve. Stay tuned!
Last night Zoe "slept over" in Megan's room. Thus Antuco and Zi Zi got to playing around together once they fell asleep. Megan found them this morning holding hands...one hanging on each side of Megan's door. There's talk now of going to the pet store to get a real cage. Yikes!
