First visit to a Dog Park

First visit to a Dog Park
Tanya went away this weekend, so I got to spend another quality weekend with the girls. We decided that this time we would include Lucy in our "special" weekend. So, we took her to a local dog park on Saturday morning.

There were about 20 dogs there and immediately they all greeted Lucy with the customary "nose to rear end" greeting. She must have passed the "sniff" test as most of the dogs left her alone. One dog in particular took a liking to Lucy. The girls thought it was very funny that he followed her around and liked to play "piggyback" with her.

Lucy had a blast. She is very much out of shape, so she didn't do much running. She's definitely a "people person". She could care less about most of the dogs, but would rather greet and hang out with their owners.

The girls also had a good time watching all the action. After this successful trip, I'm sure we'll be back.

  2. i know why dogs do that sniffing thing - they are trying to find their own tail. My Dad taught me this when I was a little girl - it all happened a long time ago in the old west. All the dogs were at a barn dance and the barn started on fire - oh I forgot to tell you this part - when you went to a barn dance in the old old west you had to check your tail at the door - so when it started on fire all the dogs ran out as fast as they could and just grabbed the most convenient tail they could get as they left - so to this day they are still searching for their own tail.

  3. If we took Molly, she would just lay down and let the other dogs trample her! Glad Lucy enjoyed it.
