Did you know that last Friday was "Systems Administrator Day"? Don't worry if you didn't...even Hallmark hasn't caught on to this important day. Despite its relative obscurity, my office surprised us and came out in full force and celebrated the contribution that Tony & I make day in and day out.
Several of them decided to dress in as much nerd gear as possible (pocket protectors, nerdy glasses, etc). On casual Fridays, Tony & I usually wear untucked, plaid button-down shirts with jeans. It's not a uniform, but apparently our co-workers caught on and honored us with dressing so stylishly like us! Too bad Tony varied from the norm and wore his "Network Security" t-shirt on our special day.
That afternoon, we were treated to dessert and a card and forced to take this ridiculous picture! If you look closely, you will notice none other than Louis & Gilbert (from Revenge of the Nerds) on our cakes!
We had a great Sys Admin Day and felt very appreciated!
