Just got back from our first camping trip of the summer. It was our annual outing with the Bubiers. This year we decided to camp in the Rocky Mtn Nat'l Park. Our campground and campsites were perfect! This was the view we had just a short walk from our sites.
The weekend got off to a rough start. We arrived at the Glacier Basin campground on Friday afternoon in the middle of an intense "Thundersnow"! Yes, that would entail us trying to setup camp during a combination of a snow squall, lightning & thunder. The snow stopped quickly, but the cold temps, wind and lingering snow flurries decided to stick around throughout the weekend.
Despite the chilly weather, we made the best of it and had a great time hanging out with the deer, elk, marmots and more. We've got several more stories to come this week...
