On Monday, we ventured out on a hike that I had been looking forward to for a long time. Actually, you will notice a recurring theme of hiking this week. Without the girls, we took advantage of the freedom to do something we love doing together that we haven't been able to do in a long time. It was a 10+ mile hike on the Nualolo-Awa`awapuhi Loop Trail at the southern edge of the Na Pali Coast. The hike was not easy, but all effort exerted was rewarded with amazing views unlike any I've seen on a hike.
The cliffs of the Na Pali coast are sheer drop offs of about 2000 feet. You can check out the following link to see our route as mapped out by our GPS Log. Zoom in with the Satellite option for a birdseye view.

The sky, the water, the shorts!!! It's been 6 long years since Mike and I took that trip and we are excited to go back. We attempted that hike, but got started much too late in the day and didn't have enough food and water to really give it go, but I think we made it about a mile and a half in and loved every minute of it. What a great way to celebrate 10 years of bliss.
