We were very excited on Christmas Eve because our weather report was calling for a "White Christmas". They were forecasting a "dusting" of snow in the morning. Well that "dusting" turned into a full winter storm. We ended up with about 9 inches.
After the gifts were opened and tummies filled with a delicious breakfast, we ventured over to the sledding hill. What a difference a year makes! Megan was very tentative last year after a few unfortunate tumbles off the sled. This year, she was flying down the hill all by herself. Zoe still wanted nothing to do with the whole outing. She was forced onto the sled against her will a couple times, but she still insisted that she didn't like sledding.
The rest of the day was spent inside by the fire sipping warm drinks...until the late afternoon hit and I got to fire up the snowblower for the first time of season!
It was a crazy storm. We now have 3 foot piles of snow on both sides of our driveway that will be there for a long time! We haven't tried sledding yet. Hmmm... I need to go find a sleeding hill around here, our driveway would work well too!
