Our camping trip was a blast this weekend. The week prior to our trip it had been very warm in the Denver area, so I think we expected the same, but I've learned that Memorial Day weekend is too early in the season to expect similar weather in the mountains. We got it all (strong winds, rain, snow, frost & sun). The tent trailer was great! Actually it saved us from coming home a day early!
I'll share more about our weekend tomorrow, but overall it was cool to explore a part of the mountains we had never been too before. Our campground was right on the Crystal River in a canyon. We had tall rock walls going up either side of us.
