Winter Park

Winter Park
We're coming off of a huge high this weekend...not just because we got to ski from over 12,000 feet down the mountain, but mainly because we had a great time with the Bubiers up in Winter Park. Thanks to my Aunt Hildy & Catrina for watching the girls so Tanya & I could ski for the whole day on Friday. The conditions were great and like riding a bike, the skiing/snowboarding came back to us quickly. Injury Report? Lots of sore muscles and one slightly bruised tailbone from 2 snowboarding falls. I'd do it again anyday for how much fun I had. Winter Park was a great mountain offering all kinds of Easy/Intermediate trails which was just our style.

The top ten highlights (in no particular order, except for #10):

10. skiing many runs with David, Scott & Rachel
9. Tanya & I eating a burger lunch sitting outside in reclining lawn chairs...at 11,200 feet...watching other skiers come down from the 12K foot peak
8. listening to Megan & Kelsey chat it up while trying to fall asleep in the same room
7. reviving fun family memories
6. an authentic horse-drawn sleigh ride
5. a kid-less dinner out w/ Scott & Catrina (thanks David, Hildy & Rachel for babysitting!!)
4. driving the Ridgeline in the snow
3. watching Texas A&M beatup on Syracuse in the NCAA tournament
2. a delicious 'real' Mexican lunch all together after our second day of skiing

And the BEST highlight...#10...listening to Catrina laugh as I once again told my now infamous 'Bank of America ATM' story!
