On Monday we took the McLeans into the mountains to Evergreen, CO (about 30 mins. from us) to venture out onto Evergreen Lake. Despite all the ice skating going on around us, we opted to just enjoy walking on the ice. It was so much fun. We brought a sled and pulled the kids around on the ice. Some rides were a little crazier than others. Don't let Megan's attire fool you. The weather was gorgeous and temps were surprisingly warm. And yes, I did have to warn Megan not to eat the dirty snow balls she kept picking up off the ice.

We've driven through Evergreen - beautiful. Newfound will very soon be just like this... there is snow on top a thin ice layer... just a few more days.
