Sledding

Sledding
The day finally arrived for us to test our sledding hill. Tanya went out and picked up some special Target sleds and we walked around the corner to the hill. After we applied our 'new non-caloric silicon-based kitchen lubricant' to the sleds, Megan & I took the first run while Tanya & Zoe looked on. It was fast and sparks were flying! Clearly some kids had beat us to the hill and packed the snow down, so the run was quite hardened and slick.

Tanya's first run with Megan was hilarious. She got going pretty fast and failed to notice that the kids had also built a snow mound for a jump. Well, she and Megan launched off this jump and I caught a glimpse of about a foot of space between the sled and the ground...and another 6 inches between Tanya/Megan and the sled. Amazingly, they landed it and Megan shouted, 'Mommy, let's do that again.'

PS: You have to try and look closely at Tanya's expression in the picture in the upper right corner. It's a genuine look of fear as she heads toward the jump.
