We just returned from a weekend camping in the San Juan mountains. The main reason for heading to Lake City was for the San Juan Solstice 50. A common favorite memory for us all was hanging out at the campground with a lot of other runners and their kids. They were all new people we hadn't known prior to arriving, but the kids connected so fast, that the adults all followed their lead.
On Sunday, we explored the area a bit and found ourselves at the Windy Point overlook. The panoramic views were amazing with Uncompahgre Peak (14,309') providing the focal point.
I heard you did really well with your fifty mile run! kudos to you.
