Turquoise Lake is one of the only mountain lakes we've been to that has a legitimate beach. The campsites are tucked in the lodgepole pines, but many have nice views of the beach & lake. We had one of those sites, and the kids played at the beach most of the time we were hanging out. The water was chilly, but as you'll see tomorrow, it didn't stop us from getting in!
