We've had the opportunity to spend a good amount of time at a stable this summer thanks to my mom. She started leasing a horse named Cowboy that the girls (and I) have fallen in love with. Many of you know that I LOVE horses and it has been such a joy to watch my girls fall in love as well. Zoe seemed to have no fear of large animals from day one. She was cleaning Cowboy's hoofs without any hesitation. She had to learn a few safety tips to ensure she wouldn't get stepped on. Megan, on the other hand, was tentative at first using extra caution around him. Now she's in her second week of horse camp and is much more confident around horses.

the same joy I felt as a kid with my horse, I felt when Tanya had Amigo and now sharing Cowboy with meg and zo just completes the circle. He's a lucky horsie with the carrotts and sugar cubes and hugs.
ReplyDeleteI have a full tack trunk...if you invest in lessons and showing the goods are yours :)
ReplyDeleteWhat fun lasting memories! We have a friend who is a writer/editor for a horse magazine and another who makes her living caring for weathly people's horses so who knows where this love will lead your girls!
