Paintbrush Park

Paintbrush Park
Last Fall a new park opened up by our house. It's called Paintbrush Park. A catchy name. The park isn't all that amazing. It has the standard playground equipment, but it's more geared towards the "younger" kid. There are no "monkey bars" which immediately disqualifies it from being a great park...in Megan's eyes.

So why the name "paintbrush park"? Apparently the name picking powers in our town decided to honor a unique wildflower that is native to Colorado and grows in the backcountry. The Indian Paintbrush is the flower behind the name. Now that I know...I see them everywhere!

We're going to be taking a break from posting for the rest of the week, so check after the 4th of July weekend!
