Anniversary Recap

Anniversary Recap
We celebrated our 11 year anniversary on Saturday. I surprised Tanya by taking her to "The Melting Pot". This fondue restaurant was spectacular. Every course (minus the salad) involved some pot to dip into. Cheese for dipping bread, veggies & apples. Broth for cooking marinated chicken, steak, shrimp & pork. And chocolate...no explanation needed!

Besides the food being delicious, it's just a fun way to eat. It takes quite awhile to make your way through the courses. The dessert is what we decided to feature on this post. You will notice several empty squares on that plate of powdered sugar. That was where the rice krispie treats, brownies and oreo & graham cracker crusted marshmallows used to reside.

We did stop for a brief moment to take the photo, but then immediately went back to work. Rest assured nothing was left on that plate aside from the sugar & cherry stem.

  1. Yes, I was wishing they doubled the dessert plate when we went. Everything was so good. And what a perfect place to celebrate your anniversary.

  2. Ahhh the 70's. When everyone had a fondue pot - ours was harvest yellow. Nothing like a fondue with a little disco music in the background wearing your polyester leasure suit and "fall" and go go boots. A lot of good things came from the 70's - including you two!

  3. YUM! Still needing to try that place out!
