Pass It On

Pass It On
It’s always a special moment when someone from the older generation imparts wisdom to the younger generation. We got to experience this first hand between Papa (my Dad) and Megan while we were visiting Santa Barbara. After stuffing ourselves with not so good pizza we decided to enjoy some dessert out on his patio. For those of you who really know my Dad, his next action will not surprise you… just when you thought he was finished with his dessert, he lifted the bowl and proceeded to lick it clean. I was not shocked, after all I grew up with him. Megan caught sight of him out of the corner of her eye, studied him for a moment as if thinking 'if Papa’s doing it then it must be ok', then calmly set down her spoon and began to lick too. Thanks Papa, for teaching Megan such wonderful manners. (Posted by Tanya)

On another note, I've just started a website to raise money for the Susan G. Koman Breast Cancer Foundation, which is why I'm doing the triathlon in two weeks! If you are interested in contributing, check it out. http://www.active.com/donate/triforthecure06/tanyaanderson

  1. Oh my goodness, Kevin does that too sometimes...perhaps he learned it from your dad as well?!

  2. Grandpa Heldt does it and also his daughter, but only when she's alone and its carmel or chocolate or maple syrup or you get the idea!
