What a strike....

What a strike....
Zoe's been getting ready for the World Cup that starts in June! We hold regular evening practices at the field. I typically try to stay away from teaching her any soccer foot skills for I want her to at least have a chance at being good someday.

This Saturday morning was a designated yardwork day. It was a gorgeous day around 80. We ripped up a planter in our front yard and got some new plants and snagged some grapefruit-sized rocks from around our yard to create a rock border. It looks great, but now we've got another one to do and we're not as motivated, so that one is getting put off for later. And of course we did this just in time for possible 40+ degree temperature swing and snow on Monday morning. Ugh.

Our friends from SB, Brian & Dawn Davenport, came to visit Saturday night and Sunday. It was great catching up with them and hearing about all of their present and future adventures. After church we all went a Rockies-Giants game. I didn't know this, but Dawn is a baseball nut, so taking in a game at Coors Field was at the top of her list of things to do. The Rockies won in the bottom of tenth inning and Barry Bonds struck out in his one at bat...so we couldn't have asked for a more exciting game. I'll let Tanya share later this week about her wild & crazy moment at the game!
