Megan's Favorite Exhibit

It's no secret what Megan likes best about the aquarium. Amazing what an impact one movie has. Somehow when she looks in the tank she can easily differentiate which fish is Nemo and which is his Dad, Marlin?

Ok, you're just going to have to bear with me through the rest of this post. Here's the history: A few summers ago we were visiting my sister and her family in New Hampshire. One of her male neighbors had a thick Boston accent and was overheard shouting a question that Lauren, my neice, took a liking to and enjoyed repeating many times. He yelled in a deep, raspy voice, 'Anybody want some gah-lic?'

Over time, Tanya & I would bust out that quote (in our best deep, raspy & loud voice) at the appropriate time and laugh. Just last week, we taught Megan the infamous quote and she picked it up naturally. I love hearing her say it and the more she repeats it, the more I laugh.

On Monday night, I put Megan to bed. I turned the lights out and hopped in bed next to her and here's what proceeded:

Dad: 'Megan, let's pray.'

Megan: 'Ok'

Dad: -prays for Megan and other stuff-

Megan: -starts softly singing 'Jesus Loves Me' unprompted-

Dad: -joins in the singing-

Dad: -enjoying the moment greatly-

-song ends after the chorus, there is a sweet silence-

Megan: -breaking the silence- 'Anybody want some Gah-lic'
